IMTUFF™ Bonded Bi-metal Blocks & Bars
IMTUFF™ Bonded Bi-metal Blocks & Bars is a composite with high chrome white iron being bonded onto a mild steel backing plate. It offers a simple and cost effective solution to protecting fixed and mobile assets against abrasion and impact wear. Typical applications include buckets (excavator, loader, dragline, face shovel), crusher spider arm guards, feed and discharge chutes, feeder grizzly bars, etc.
The IMTUFF™ Bonded Bi-metal series include chocky blocks, wear bars, buttons, donuts, knife edges, skid bars, boomerangs, roll bars and customized plates in sizes up to 400*400 *100 on 20 mm. The bi-metal configuration with mild steel backing plate allows for easy installation on flat or curved surfaces using conventional welding methods. They can also be supplied with threaded holes or studs.
