Australian Consul General Visits Tempus to Bolster Green Business Collaboration

On February 27, 2025, Dr. Timothy Kendall, Consul General of the Australian Consulate in Guangzhou, led a distinguished delegation to Tempus. Accompanying him were Ms. Jill Ren, Senior Investment Director at the Commerce Office, and Mr. Leslie Li, Government Relations Officer.

At the welcome ceremony, Dr. Kendall delivered an inspiring speech, expressing his pleasure in visiting Tempus. He commended Tempus for its commitment to green and sustainable development in the minerals industry—a philosophy that mirrors the Australian business spirit. Tempus' dedication to environmental innovation sets a benchmark in the industry, and we see tremendous potential for deepening cooperation between Chinese and Australian enterprises, he remarked.

Local leadership also lent their support to the visit. Zheng Qi, a member of the Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of its Management Committee, accompanied the delegation. Ningxiang Deputy Mayor Duan Zhibin, along with other city officials, attended the event.

During the visit, the delegation toured Tempus’ exhibition hall and finished product display area. Tempus Chairman Mr. Shaun Lou presented a detailed report on the company’s green strategies and sustainable development achievements. The interactive session fostered meaningful discussions on potential collaborative projects, reinforcing mutual interests in advancing environmental sustainability.

A notable highlight was Tempus’ recent accolade. In November 2024, Tempus was honored with the “Green Sustainability Award” at the Australia Business Spirit Awards 2024. Selected by experts from the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, KPMG, and other authorities, this award recognizes Tempus' leadership in sustainable practices. Dr. Kendall personally presented the trophy, underscoring the company's excellence.

Dr. Kendall’s visit reflects a broader initiative to strengthen interactions between the consulate, local governments, and leading enterprises. This engagement aims to enhance investment, trade, and commercial cooperation between China and Australia, paving the way for continued sustainable growth and innovation.
